Created in 2002 and formally constituted as a non-profit organization in 2003, the International Network on Migration and Development (INMD) is a global network of researchers, academic institutions and migrant organizations that promotes critical research on the complex ties between development, international migration and human rights. From its inception, the INMD has made significant contributions to the debate and has actively participated in various global fora such as the World Forum on Migration and Development and the World Social Forum on Migration.
